Il lavoro è la nostra libertà, la nostra indipendenza, la nostra vita

Bisogna appassionarsi al proprio lavoro per riuscire a trasformarlo in un piacere e non soltanto in un dovere. Il lavoro è il veicolo che ci permette di intessere relazioni sociali, che ci permette di avere una vita dignitosa e libera: dignitosa perché, lavorando, si può guadagnare, e, guadagnando, si può vivere agiatamente, ma anche libera perché grazie al lavoro si possono fare delle scelte autonome. Quindi bisogna credere in sé stessi ed accettare di mettersi in gioco.

L’Italia è una Repubblica democratica, fondata sul lavoro, e la sua Costituzione sancisce che: “la Repubblica riconosce a tutti i cittadini il diritto al lavoro e promuove le condizioni che rendano effettivo questo diritto. Ogni cittadino ha il dovere di svolgere, secondo le proprie possibilità e la propria scelta, una attività o una funzione che concorra al progresso materiale o spirituale della società”.

Si tratta di affermazioni molto importanti per diversi motivi:

  • La costituzione sancisce un diritto al lavoro, ma anche un dovere al lavoro;
  • Si utilizza il verbo “promuovere” ed il soggetto che deve farlo è la Repubblica, cioè tutti noi, quindi spetta anche ad ogni singolo cittadino la responsabilità di promuovere condizioni per poter esercitare il diritto di lavorare, di essere proattivo nei confronti di questo diritto;
  • quando si introduce il concetto di “dovere” al lavoro si fornisce allo stesso tempo la libertà di farlo secondo “le proprie possibilità e la propria scelta”, quindi anche in questo caso si sottolinea implicitamente la necessità che ogni singolo cittadino si dia un progetto di lavoroche sia il risultato di una valutazione e di una scelta di quello che può fare e di quello che vuole fare;
  • si esplicita che l’utilità del lavoro è di contribuire al progresso, quindi al miglioramento continuo, sia a livello materiale che spirituale e quindi si evidenzia implicitamente che il lavoro è un valore, e quindi ha un impatto trasformativo sulla singola persona sia nella sua sfera materiale che spirituale (o potremmo anche dire interiore, emotiva ed affettiva).
